Heribert Potuznik was born in Vienna in 1910 and died in Mistelbach in 1984. Before he had formal education in becoming a painter he trained in lithographic design. In WWII Potuznik became a prisoner of war. After 1946 the artist was a member of the famous art clubs “The Strohkoffer”,  “Der Kreis” and in 1975 became Professor of Art. Potuznik is a late expressionist and especially his woodcut
