Philipp Frank

1860 Frankfurt – 1944 Berlin

Professor P. Frank was an important man in the world of art in Berlin. 

Together with Lovis Corinth and Max Liebermann he founded the Berlin Secession. He lived at the Wannsee and many of his paintings depict scenes of nature. He also was sought after as a painter of portraits. 

Frank taught at the Berlin Royal School of Art, He was a member of the Berlin Academy of Art, of the German Association of Artists. He won many medals and to this day his work is frequently exhibited in Germany.
